Playing With Fonts - Using The Typography Style In Poster Printing

Playing with fonts; either modern or premier is truly a fun for the people who are engaged exclusively in poster designing and printing. As the fonts type, size and style are usually on the fingertips of the graphic designers, web developers or the content producers.
Thus there is much probability of feeling monotonous feeling, whilst playing with usual Photoshop image design of a print poster? Have you been doing poster printing designs for years now and need a new idea? Or maybe you are a novice trying break out in a group of other poster printing designers?
Now let us discuss about the font selection strategy, there can be many - as much you would research, that much you would different opinions and notions. Yet I have a nice print poster design idea for you. It is called typography. Some may be familiar with the term. It was popular a few decades back around the 70's and 80's. Called the International Typography style, it used special stylized fonts as the centerpieces of poster design. This has been slowly reinvented over the years with the rise of the digital age. Though a lot of people focus on the images, ...
... typography can be a nice alternative to an array of overly filtered images.
You have a better recourse, during the process of making fun with the fonts - by downloading a lot of free fonts. Websites nowadays offer free fonts for download that are creative and eye catching. Most of them are useful and surprisingly creative in a number of ways, and of course most of them find their way to posters. Always try to download a few big fonts and keep an eye out for character designs that may be of use as center pieces.
During the exercise of using, styling and twisting your font game, you can employ either big or artistic fonts as centerpieces, with your collection ready, you should have a few key font styles that you may want to use. For example, a poster that is about fire prevention can have a big font centerpiece with FIRE! spelled out. This can be typed in with a font style that looks like it is on fire. Also for Elegant posters, artistic script fonts with intricate curves and details can be used. With the word Elegance or Luxury spelled out in big and elegant strokes you'll have a nice lifestyle poster fit for higher end customers. Basically the idea here is to match your centerpiece word with the font style that you are using. Of course the word must be related to the overall theme of your poster print.
