Health Benefits Of Green Jasmine Tea, Tealux

Can drinking the aromatic jasmine tea lead to health benefits?
Jasmine tea is more than just another beverage or thirst quencher. This natural tea includes a considerable number of health benefits. Jasmine leaves are known to have medical properties that range from bringing down raised cholesterol levels to cancer prevention. Let us look at the benefits of drinking Jasmine tea in a more detailed manner:
1. Cancer treatment and prevention: Studies that have been conducted on animals show that jasmine can bring down the growth of malignant cancer cells. A study conducted individually on two separate sets of rats shows that jasmine tea was highly effective for prostate cancer patients and had a chemotherapy impact on those suffering from breast tumors.
In Israel, scientists have identified an anti-cancer medication known as ‘Jasmonate' that is actually a component from Jasmine plant, that is known to protect the plant from any foreign substance. This naturally occurring drug is still in a research stage, but scientists have reason to believe that it can be a highly important cancer drug, because ...
... Jasmonate stops the spread of enzyme called ‘hexokinase' that is responsible for the growth of cancer cells. Scientists believe that Jasmine plant will be soon together with cancer chemotherapy drugs or even replace them in future.
2. Lower cholesterol levels: A research on hamsters revealed that jasmine green tea has green tea catechins, that reduced cholesterol and triglyceride levels in hamsters even when animals were put on a high fat diet. Though research is still on to find out if it is as effective in humans, jasmine green tea, without doubt, can have health benefits to those people who are on a fatty diet.
3. Anxiety Relief: Research in Japan showed that jasmine tea has an aroma that was sedative-like and calming, when it was experimented on 24 volunteers. After smelling the odor of jasmine tea, their heart rates dipped and they became more relaxed and composed. Compared to traditional anti-anxiety medications, a cup of jasmine tea can make you feel lighter and calmer, naturally.
4. Anti bacterial properties: The scientists at the Kansas State University has found out that jasmine tea has the properties that prevent the growth of certain bacteria that lead to food borne diseases like Salmonella and Listeria This definitely can be a huge boost to the food industry which is looking for natural means to kill bacteria that are responsible for food poisoning.
