With dynamic working environment for today's organizations, users often ask for upgraded solutions. With the ever developing working environment, workhouses mark the need of improved data and applications. It is important to take care of different facets of IT surroundings while you try to perform Notes to PST migration. Migration being a gruesome and tiring process, often affects the financial stability of an organization.

The need of Notes to PST migration arises due to the requirements of IT cost reduction, business service risk mitigation policy, authoritarian requirement, new data center operation strategy or need of new email communication environment due to inability of previous email client to perform as per user requirement. Hence, the requirement of performing Notes to PST migration keeps on evolving at t workplace.

However, there are many users who perform manual Lotus Notes to PST migration and face an array of difficulties and errors that restricts them to move forward with migration of notes to PST or migration to the new email client. You can deal with these ...
... issues easily but users are unable to figure out what they can do to resolve the error. For example, when you use the MS Outlook Support for Lotus cc:Mail, to send an email with attachment to a recipient who is using a Lotus cc:Mail client or Lotus Notes client, then the attachment appears in the message received; but the information or the text in it might go missing. You sent the email message in Plain Text or HTML file format.

In order to resolve this issue, you must change the MS Outlook default message format to Microsoft Outlook Rich Text and change the Lotus cc:Mail service default delivery property to Send using MS Exchange Rich Text Format. In order to alter the MS Outlook default message format, follow the steps given below:

1.Click Tools menu > Options
2.On Mail Format tab, under Message Format > click Microsoft Outlook Rich Text in the Send in this format list
3.Click OK

To change the Lotus cc:Mail service default delivery property, follow the steps given below:

1.Click Tools > Services
2.Click to select the Lotus cc:Mail service and Properties
3.On the Delivery tab, click to select the Send using MS Exchange rich text format check box

Consider a different working situation where you open an email message containing embedded Lotus Notes document links on a computer where the Lotus Notes client is not installed, the following error message mentioned below appears:

An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run Setup again for the program.

In this case, when you click OK, the email message will not be displayed. When MS Outlook tries locating the OLE server for the embedded documents, the process is unsuccessful because the OLE server is not registered. Here, MS Outlook shows the above error message and due to this MS Outlook fails to open the message. However, all these issues will never pose any threat to the integrity of your data, if you try migrating from Lotus Notes to PST using third party Notes to PST migration software. With notes to PST migration software by your side, you do not need to undergo prolong and time-consuming Lotus Notes to PST conversion.
