Are You Playing Your Part In Road Safety?

A lot of us would agree to the fact that other drivers are mostly responsible for the crashes or accidents caused on the road. We consider ourselves to be responsible and never a person who could create a menace at the road. But, do you seriously play your part while driving?
This article will suggest some tips which will be helpful to reduce the potential of getting into a crash or accident. These are defensive driving actions, which are all under your control only:
Traffic Laws: It is an important thing to review the state DMV manual. You will come to know the different laws that prevail in different states in US. Not all states in America have the same traffic laws.
Seat Belt: There are times when we forget to wear our seat belts. It may be due to our forgetfulness, when we are in a hurry or just don't like putting it on. Not only is it against the state law, but it will save your life or that of your loved ones if you put it on. Most of the car crash victims in New Jersey have been found with no seat belts on. The first thing you should remember when you climb in your car is to put the seat belt ...
... on.
Speeding: Speed thrills but kills. Hopefully you must have heard about this line somewhere. Speeding is a bad habit that most of us have but as a responsible driver, you must always limit your driving speed within the limit. It can be dangerous for you and that of others if you drive too fast. Remember that the faster you drive, the longer it takes to stop your car. You must always reduce your speed when: it is night time as it is unclear to see others on road, the road is shared with cyclists/motorcyclists, pedestrians or when there are men at work, the weather is too foggy or not clear, and when the road conditions or layout presents potential hazards.
Hands Free Devices: The cell is a big driving distraction that has resulted in many fatalities. Try to switch off or keep the cell phones in silent while you drive. If the call is too important, stop on the side way and attend to it.
All these defensive driving skills can be learned and attained through a NJ online defensive driving course. Joining an online defensive driving course in NJ will prove to be more fruitful as it gives you more benefits than just the skills of defensive driving.
