It is really strange to illustrate t how rapidly consumers are embracing mobile applications on their smartphone devices. In a report of Internet and American Life Project, published by Pew Research Center's we found that more than 82% adults in U.S. are active cell phone users where in 43% have various apps on their mobile phones and more than two third of them are consuming third party mobile apps regularly. As the reports estimates, 24% of the U.S. adult population actively uses apps.
According to the study, mobile app users tend to be younger, male, more educated and affluent as compared to the rest of the population. App users had an average of 18 apps on their devices and a median of 10. Such a report explains that there would be a number of users with a disproportionate number of apps on their phones.
If we see the download status of smartphone applications all over the world, we can say, nearly one-third of the 82% Americans actively using mobile devices have downloaded apps, out of which 13% said they have paid for one or more of those apps. ... they had done so within the last 30 days, and one-third had in the last week.
According to the study it has been found that nearly 2 in 3 users use their apps daily, while 1 of every 4 users make use of their apps for more than 30 minutes per day. Almost 71% use their apps alone, while roughly half use them while waiting for someone or something or while at work. Another 36% use their apps while commuting.
Many market analysts say that it is a pretty remarkable sign that smartphone apps are creating the tech-adoption story across the globe, while even if you consider that there was no apps culture two years ago from today; other analyst say that adoption still has a long way to go and the apps market seems somewhat ahead of a majority of adult cell phone users.
But in conclusion we can say, there is a huge demand of smartphone apps all over the world where users tend to use productivity apps more, drop box, ever note, docstogo and then social media and news apps and so many apps that seem to streamline the days.
