Smoking destroys appetite. This appetite is the main reason and responsible to gain weight. When you give up smoking, your desire for food will automatically go up, however, you can stop this from occurring. The most significant task you should do to shun gaining extra weight when giving up smoking is to start off eating wholesome and exercising before quitting actually. It is reported that if you don’t sleep properly, your urge to crave food and to smoke will be increased. It affects on the body badly. A sufficient and good night’s sleep will make you feel better than ever. Using smoking patches may also be a good idea for a while. It means nicotine replacement. But, for that you should consult with your doctor.

After quitting smoking, you can try to begin a diet pill for a few months. This pill will help to increase your burn fat, metabolism and control craving. Your food should be low-calorie diet. After getting accustomed to this type diet, you will succeed to prevent weight gain. You can take some herbal supplement such as hoodia pills to control your appetite. Make sure that you have a favor from your friends and family. Their support is necessary for you. It is tough to give up smoking, if your friends smoke at the front of you. Finally, after quitting smoking, if you follow and maintain the above mentioned rules, you must lose your weight instead of gaining.
