6)To create your home page, go to pages then click add new & create your welcome page.

7)Next is to instruct wordpress to display the page selected by you as your home page & to do it, go to settings & click reading. You will find a choice that is labeled as front page displays, where you would click a static page & then select your home page from the drop down.

11)You can install plugin page mash that will help you organize the appearance of pages in an order & hide the unnecessary pages. You can also install other plugin as well that can help you to filter spam, build links to social sites, etc.

12)You can upload content by going to your back office which can be done by adding /wp-admin at the end of website's address.
