If you are using a motor home for your holiday, then here are a few things to bear in mind -

Check Each Site in Advance

For some reason there can be a certain snobbery attached to a small number of caravan sites. And this elitist minority will look down their noses at the likes of motor homes or camper vans! Exactly why this should be is all a bit of a mystery; after all, everyone pays the same ground rent. However, before going anywhere, it is always a good idea to check with a site in advance of your arrival. You do not want to turn up somewhere after a long drive only to find that ‘your sort' are unwelcome...

Get Yourself a Good Insurance Policy

The last thing you will want to have on your holiday is an accident... but we should never rule it out! None of us can know what life has in store, so being properly protected is of paramount importance. But when you are looking around for motor home insurance quotes, you should always check that it will give you a maximum amount of cover. Don't be taken in by ‘cheap and cheerful' ...
... policies because they often won't be worth the paper they are written on. It's always worth paying a little bit extra and having proper peace of mind whilst you are away from home!

Take Plenty of Things to do

Britain is famous for its unpredictable weather, so it is always best to be prepared. This means wellies, raincoats and plenty of towels! If you are going away for a week and it never stops raining (or snowing!) then the chances are that you will spend quite a lot of time sitting in your motor home. Why not pack a few board games just in case? These can be a great way of staying sane when it is too wet to go out anywhere!

Keep it Safe

Whilst you are on holiday, your motor home will become your second home; so you need to think of it as such. If you are leaving your vehicle anywhere, then always make a point of double-checking that your windows and doors are locked. You should also ensure that none of your valuables are left on ‘display'...

This type of basic security can be so easily overlooked when you are on holiday and having fun... but thieves are well known for operating quickly. Given half a chance, they could break into your motor home and ruin your entire holiday within a very short space of time!
