Automating Your Online Business - Part 1. Last week I talked about using Automation to do most of the
work for your online business. To accomplish this, you are going
to need what I call "My Online Business ToolBox". This tool box is a set of tools that you will need to automate
as much as you can for your online business. Tool#1: Ezine Writing Tools.
Tool#2: Ezine List Automation.
Tool#3: Email Automation.
Tool#4: Auto responders.
Tool#5: Advertising Automation.
Tool#6: Order Taking Automation.
Tool#7: Customer Follow-Up Automation. These are my seven primary tools I use to keep my online business as automated as possible. Sure, there are more tools that I use, but these are the key ones that you need to get going with. To keep the Newsletter within my guidelines (short and too the
point), I'm going to discuss each of the parts of my ToolKit in
the issues to follow. One of the first tools you'll want to pick up is something to help you write your ezine. Remember, it's vital that you develop some sort of ezine ...
... so you can stay in contact with your customers on a routine basis. There are several packages out there that will make creating your ezine fast and simple. You want one that will allow you to simply control your margins without much hassle. Most Ezines are set to a right margin of 65. This makes them easy to read on most email programs. If you go longer, you run into the problem of scrolling your pages in the window. You
don't want that. Keep everything as simple as possible. Go out to your favorite shareware site and check out various text editors. I've tried many and two that I like are Crimson Editor and Ziney Pro. Both are shareware and can be found rather easily. Crimson Editor has many, many additional features that I never used, so I switched to Ziney Pro. Ziney Pro is a work in progress, so it does have a few quirks, but the creator is constantly working on updates. It gives you what you need: Spell check, Margin control, Word Stats, etc. Too many bells and whistles just get in the way. If you want to learn more about ZineyPro, visit
