Vitamins Minerals And Your Successful Diet
All it takes is eating right and a little exercise and you can lose all the weight you want, right? Well as we who have tried it know weight loss is not all that easy for some. Certain vitamins minerals and food supplements can help dieters by speeding up their metabolism.
The body's metabolism regulates how fast we burn calories
The higher your rate of metabolism, that is how fast you can burn up the calories eaten each day, the easier it is to maintain a normal weight. So many of us have a slower rate of metabolism and so we tend to store fat instead of burning it efficiently. Many of the basic vitamins minerals and other ingredients found in a daily multivitamin will help give your metabolism a boost but knowing which are most beneficial and how much to take is vital to a successful weight loss program.
Fish oils have proven benefit for speeding up the metabolism
Leptin is a natural hormone found in the human body that influences the metabolism directly by increasing it and speeding up the process of burning calories. Low levels of leptin are shown to speed up the rate by which calories and fats ...
... are assimilated while higher levels slow the process down considerably.
Such fish as haddock, mackerel, salmon, and sardines are valuable for their high oil content but when you don't wish to eat much of these fish try taking a daily supplement of Omega-3 fish oil to help lower the leptin level and increase the metabolism rate.
Trick your body into thinking it is slim
Certain vitamins minerals and other valuable supplements can actually trick your body into thinking it has already stored up all the nutrients it needs. We tend to store fat away like a squirrel hoarding nuts for winter. The human body stores up fats and when we can trick it into thinking it has enough we will begin to lose weight successfully. B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, and some trace minerals will provide a big boost to the metabolism. A member of the Vitamin B complex, choline is needed for efficient fat metabolism. Choline deficiency leads to fats becoming trapped in the liver. Good sources of choline include: beef liver, egg yolks, wheat germ, and cucumbers.
With positive research on vitamins continuing to flood out of nutrition and science based organizations it's hard to find a reason not to take vitamins supplements and other dietary aids to help us improve our health.
