"Are You Ready - Heart, Mind and Soul?"

http://www.HersheyWier.com Sometimes people get "stuck" at a particular point in life. Regardless how much energy is devoted to networking and chasing opportunities, they come up empty. I'm sure that all of us have gotten "stuck" at one time or another. At first glance, it's difficult to see the source of this "stuckness." Let's start first with... The Heart The heart is our bosom buddy. It's with us daily in vital ways. Figuratively speaking, it processes feelings. It communicates joy and fear and surprise and love and a host of feelings in between. I'm in constant communion with my heart. It chats with me, sends signals to me, guides me. In spite of the close bond we have with our hearts, they don't always give us the best guidance. When we follow our hearts more closely than our minds, we may get ourselves into bad situations. The situation may be something as common as overindulging in food, drink or spending. Or, our hearts may send us blindly onto a personal or professional path that leads to a ...
... dead-end. The Mind Thank goodness for the logic of the mind. Our minds can analyze situations, and warn against acting on misguided ideas and whims. Yet, if there is a checks & balances system in place, why then, do people sometimes find themselves stuck? Why is it that they cannot get past a certain point in their personal or professional lives? Somehow, there is a plateau that will not yield to a rise, and which blocks you from reaching the next level. The Soul I believe the answer lies within your soul. Now, we could get into detail and discuss the body and spirit, along with the heart, mind, and soul - but for brevity's sake - I will leave you with this simple hypothesis. I picture my mind and my heart as "everyday players" in our lives. That is, they are constantly in touch. I am always aware of their presence. I continually notice their signals and messages. In fact, they can be too noisy. However, it is not as common to become aware of the soul. It is during this peaceful time of meditation, of journaling, that we can begin to truly hear the wisdom that lies deep within each of us. The voice that has been waiting to be heard.
