Considering getting married in Las Vegas?

Perhaps you would like to know some common reasons people choose to get married in Las Vegas. Here are some reasons I have discovered that have swayed couple's decision to do so. I have first hand experience as a Las Vegas wedding Minister through conducting the many thousands of weddings here since 1996. First of all, I would like to mention that more than 110,000 marriage licenses are issued in Las Vegas each year! That is staggering.

Convenience: There are many easy and convenient location choices for a Las Vegas wedding. With the standard wedding, the marriage bureau only requires picture identification from the couple and the marriage license is then issued on the same day with no waiting period or blood test. A lot of couples come here to elope and don't want to wait once they have made the decision to get married.

... one witness present. They have told me that is just what they wanted. Las Vegas provides a low stress, low cost solution to what can be a very stressful occasion that would otherwise demand a lot of energy.

Expense: A large majority of the couples that contact me are looking for a very economic, cost effective solution for their wedding. That is why they chose Las Vegas in most cases. The average cost of a low cost wedding package is around $500.00. Couples can upgrade to a scenic outdoor, resort wedding or country club pampered experience for $1500.00 up to $5000.00. The thousands of dollars couples save having having their wedding there is worth it. In these hard economic times, couples need to put the money they save aside for other survival needs.

Family & Friends Love Las Vegas: In my conversations with the brides and grooms I have learned that many of them have based their decision on the fact that it is such a fun place for family to visit and converge. It was convenient decision and most people did not have to be cajoled into visiting. Why not? There is plenty of entertainment, dining and fun for their guests to partake in. That makes it easier on them as well.
