USBFlashCopy is this simple yet effective solution for backing up the content of your flash drives and storage cards in both visible and hidden mode, on the fly. It is a small utility for Windows and has minimal system requirements. Able to run in the background, it can easily and quickly copy files from the inserted media to a specified location on the hard disk, where your data will be safe and secure. You can set up personal profiles for different media as well as unknown media. These can be copied to the default location with subfolders created for each device. During the backup process you can disconnect and remove the drive as usual - USBFlashCopy does not lock the drive.

While USBFlashCopy is free for any non-commercial use, purchasing a key allows it to be used in commercial scenarios and also unlocks the silent mode. Being silent, the utility does not display a progress bar, notifications, error messages or anything else - it just does the job in the background. The silent mode is extremely useful for those who work with removable storage drives regularly and want to keep the screen clear.

USBFlashCopy ...
... is portable; it requires no installation and runs from any folder or drive. You do not need to install additional frameworks or libraries. The utility is extremely small consuming just 300KB of disk space.

A simple and clever utility, USBFlashCopy will automatically detect any situation where you insert media such as a USB flash drive or other flash media such as camera memory cards. When it detects the media, it will automatically start copying the content of that media to a safe location on the hard disk of a computer that it is plugged into. Under default settings, the software will automatically create separate folders for each piece of removable media in the My Documents folder. It also allows you to create profiles with different settings. These profiles can be applied to different devices or you can simply use the default settings if they suit you. The software can also copy newer files only, making sure that the files on the hard disk are still kept current without wasting time overwriting data with the same data. Additionally, you can also choose to keep the older versions of your files as well. Any settings that you specify in the software are kept in an INI file wherever the software is stored.

USBFlashCopy has minimal system requirements, and will work on almost any Windows PC. To find out more, visit the official product website at http://www.usbflashcopy.com/ . The free version of the software can be downloaded here or you can choose to purchase a key so that you can activate silent mode.
