Keeping rabbits outdoors in winter can be difficult at times. Any extreme changes in weather conditions can harm rabbits. In extreme heat and cold, rabbits can die or become infected by cold related sickness. To keep the rabbits safe, some precautions must be taken. To avoid spillage, put the water container in a secure area inside the hutch. Check the water constantly to make sure that it is not frozen. A sheltered hutch will keep the water from freezing for longer periods.
