If you answered yes to any of these questions, then there are some things that you should know about audio systems before you buy one.

So, here is a short guide on how to choose the right car stereo for your car.

1) First, you should take note of the speakers. A high end amplifier produces top quality sound out of the speaker box and will eliminate distortion and noise to give you good quality sound. Remember that the amplifier should be placed within your car so that it will not be affected by water and has a good air flow.

2) Secondly you should consider the speakers. The size of the speakers should work within the proportions of your car because too much of a magnet may produce terrible audio quality in a small car. However, set yourself an affordable budget when shopping for speakers. When buying speakers and amplifiers it is easy to get carried away, so be careful.

3) How about the automatic volume control? This feature allows the audio system to control the volume levels and compensate for sound interference from speed and wind. You may want to check if this feature is available on the models ...
... you are looking at.

4) Next consider what extras you get. Due to advances in modern technology, today's newly developed sound systems are far more efficient and adaptable compared to older models. Some of the latest advancements include GPS ability, a mapping system for directions, audio/video display set up and Bluetooth ready devices.

5) Ask an expert. If in doubt then why not go into your local car parts shop and ask a few questions. Once you've done this you can move onto the next store and see if you get the same answers. This can be the only way to see if their advice is sincere or whether they just want to sell you the most expensive stereo. Shopping around is the most effective way of getting the right stereo at the right price.

6) Don't alter the electronics. Unless you're an experienced electrician it isn't advisable to going messing around with the electronics of your car. Instead you should hire a professional electrician, which could cost anything from 100 to 200 pounds.

7) However, it could be that purchasing a new stereo isn't your only option. Although installing a new stereo would help to upgrade your car, it's not always the most effective way to enhance your driving experience. This is because older cars may be too dated to get the stereo to function properly. If this sounds familiar then you might prefer to buy or lease a vehicle that comes with a quality stereo. For example, I recently took out a Citroen leasing deal and it was way better than attempting to install a new stereo system in my old car.

If you follow this advice then hopefully you will make the right decision when it comes to choosing and then installing a brand new stereo.
