The game takes place inside Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and makes you a night-shift security guard. Your job seems simple: watch over the building, keep it safe, and make it until dawn. Under this boring job, though, are risks in the form of animatronic characters that can act in strange ways.

Even before you start playing FNAF 2, the game makes you feel uneasy with its dark hallways, creepy sounds, and eerie silence. You never know when a machine will show up at your office door or come from a strange direction. Every sound, every flash on a security camera, and every long period of silence could mean that something bad is about to happen. The best thing about fnaf 2 is how it turns being a security guard into a tough test of how attentive you are. You can't just sit there and wait for your shift to end; you have to be constantly alert, able to make quick decisions and use the right tools. One moment of distraction is all it takes for your scary efforts to stay alive to end all of a sudden.

Still, the camera system doesn't really make me feel safe. Moving from one place to another all the time makes you remember things and respond quickly to changes. While keeping an eye on one hallway, you must also be aware of possible threats appearing in other areas. This is what makes the gameplay of FNAF 2 so intense. Players need to learn how to pick and choose what they look at, spot key indicators, and avoid wasting time on actions that aren't necessary. As you move up in the nite shifts, it becomes more and more important to be able to remember where things are and guess how the animatronics will act.
