The A+ exam certification is based off two exams (hardware and software). Read at the CompTIA website to gain the

basic overview of what will be tested.

Begin studying for the exam by purchasing a A+ study guide. This will give a fairly accurate layout of what you will be tested on and "common questions" that

will be asked.

Take an online practice exam to gauge your comprehension. If you are at 70% or lower (after taking 3 rounds of them), i would recommend following steps 4 and

5. If you are above, go ahead an take the test. You should pass the exam without any problems

Purchase a "brain dump". These are designed to be almost completely accurate to the real exam. After reading through and studying the material, take another

round of practice exams. If you are above 70% pass, i would take the real A+ certification right away.

Last option is to go to a "technical training boot-camp" that offers A+ certification. These boot-camps cost quite a bit but they almost guarantee passing

the ...
... exam. I would leave this as the absolute last option.
Tips & Warnings
Make sure to have consistent time to study. Make it a habit to study the material..The night before the exam, make sure you get plenty of rest and dont do a

late night "cram" session.Brain dumps are highly frowned upon in the industry. If you do pass while using a brain dump, do not share it with anyone..
This test is appropriate for you if you are an entry-level IT professional. After passing the 220-701 test you are required to pass 220-702 exam. After

Specialist. The A+ Essential exam 220-701 validates your skills and knowledge on different types of hardware and operating systems, basic networking as well

as soft skills and office communication. This is a vendor neutral entry-level test, which can be used for the preparation of many advanced certification such

as MCSE, CCNA etc. Please visit the CompTIA Website to know more about A+ certification.

What to expect in CompTIA A+ Essentials (2009) exam?

are no case study type questions and the test is not adaptive. You will be required to attempt approximately 100 questions in 90 minutes. To pass, you need a
