Your Cayo Perico scouting trip should answer one question first: what's worth stealing, and can you reach it Players browsing GTA 5 Accounts still need a clear plan for El Rubio's island. Head for the communications tower, find its signal box, and solve the number puzzle to unlock the Sightseer camera feeds. Check the basement for your primary target, then scan the storage rooms. Your first visit reveals the Madrazo Files. Later trips can offer tequila, a necklace, bearer bonds, or a Pink Diamond. Don't confuse spotting valuable loot with being able to collect it alone.

Get your headquarters sorted

Before any island scouting, meet Miguel Madrazo in The Music Locker beneath the Diamond Casino and Resort. That introduction opens the path to buying the Kosatka, which starts at $2.2 million through Warstock Cache and Carry. The Sparrow costs another $1.815 million. It's optional, but flying straight from your submarine makes repeated preparation trips less tedious. Your first reconnaissance visit comes through the beach party with English Dave and Keinemusik. For repeat operations, budget for the $100,000 setup fee ...
... and expect to steal a Velum for the journey.

Scout a route you'll actually use

Once you're on the island, resist the urge to photograph everything immediately. Grab a Manchez Scout when you find one, watch the patrol routes, and work toward the locations that fit your approach. The docks and airstrip offer useful arrival or departure options. The Drainage Tunnel deserves special attention: swim behind the compound and locate the underwater grate. It gives you a direct entry option once the required preparation is done. An efficient route beats a long sightseeing trip, especially when guards keep sending you back.

Match the loot to your crew

Secondary loot is where solo and group plans start to differ. Check accessible supplies around the airstrip and docks rather than counting on compound gold you can't reach alone. Bolt cutters help with locked loot cages, while grappling equipment opens another way over the compound walls. Guard clothing and the supply truck can support a front-gate approach. Those discoveries aren't mandatory for every run. Photograph what serves your route, and remember that equipment locations can change between operations. Use the comparison below when deciding where to spend your scouting time.

Loot location Planning consideration
Island storage areas Useful options for solo collection
Restricted compound storage Certain doors require two players

Turn your notes into a workable plan

Before leaving, consider whether the power station or airstrip control tower matters to your chosen approach. Then return to the waiting pilot and review your discoveries aboard the Kosatka. Pick an approach vehicle, choose your weapons, and keep the route manageable. Anyone comparing GTA 5 Modded Accounts should keep that planning separate from the scouting decisions themselves. Knowing your target, your accessible secondary loot, and your way out is what makes the reconnaissance useful.
