Best Way To Start Neet Preparation In Class 11 And Continue Through Class 12
It is best to begin NEET preparations in Class XI using your school textbooks, laying a firm foundation and learning daily. NEET Coaching for 11th & 12th in Pune is a popular choice among many families as the two years define the entire course of study. We see this many times at Delhi Career Group, that a slow and steady beginning is better than a hurried one. This article will outline how to get started, what to focus on each year, and how to keep up track.
To begin with, know what NEET requires. The exam contains Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and the majority of the questions are from the NCERT books. The first step is very easy – read NCERT slowly and thoroughly. Don't miss out on small lines or diagrams. Even one line can be an inquiry in Biology, particularly.
Then, set up a daily schedule you can stick to. A plan that works well in theory, but doesn't work in practice in three days is worthless. Commit 2-3 hours of self study after school, increasing this time as you become more comfortable. Leave a permanent slot for each topic so ...
... that your brain can become accustomed to switching between topics.
The time is now class 11, where concepts play their role. Do not rush to complete chapters. After every topic, ask yourself if you can tell your friend what you just read. If the answer is 'no', read again. If you have sound foundation in Class 11, then you won't be panic stricken in Class 12 as many of the class 12 topics are based on class 11 topics.
Lots of students have questions about managing school and NEET at the same time. The fortunate part here is that there is considerable commonality between the two. Memorizing a chapter thoroughly for school is actually preparing for NEET. The difference lies in practice. In school tests, questions are asked for long answers and in NEET, only for quick and correct answers. When you are finished with a chapter, complete the multiple-choice questions about it that week.
Others start a bit later or prefer a clear program following an informal beginning. A 1 year NEET Foundation Course would be more appropriate for them, because they learn the important topics within a short span of time, preparing them for the exam and creating exam habits. Students who commence immediately after class 10 are more inclined to prefer a longer route and a 2 year NEET Foundation Course allows them ample opportunity to study each topic in depth, tweak it twice and practice without the pressure. In either case, the ideal one is going to rely on your own speed, your comfort level with the topics, and the amount of time that you can dedicate every day.
The real progress is made in practice. It won't be enough to read on their own. Do question daily – even 10 or 15. Begin with simple, progress to mixed and tricky. Don't be concerned with starting bad scores. Early errors are good as they give you a clue about things to correct.
Maintain an error log. Each time you answer a question incorrectly, write the question, the causes of your error, and the correct answer briefly. Did it slip a bit, was a poor idea, or was a formula you don't remember? You will see this notebook every week, and you will notice within a few weeks how your patterns manifest themselves and how much faster you can improve than by random revision.
Time for revision. Once you've read it, it's soon forgotten. After 1 day, 1 week, then 1 month – revise a chapter. This method of revision is quick but still does not make you tired. Create brief notes, charts, formula sheets that you can read in 10 minutes prior to a test.
As of Class 12, some changes need to be made. Continue to learn new chapters, but review class 11 material weekly as well. Many students are not able to remember first year chapters and then do poorly during the exam. Allow at least one day per week for topics that were discussed in the past. Also begin to take full-length mock exams, which develop speed, stamina and a sense of calm in time pressure.
Please take care of yourself. Sleep 7-8 hours, eat at normal times, drink water and exercise for a little while a day. A fatigued mind is easily distracted. Rest at least one day a week. A fresh mind learns quicker than a tired one that studies for twelve hours.
Be gentle with yourself. There will be weeks that seem slow, and there will be tests that don't go so well. That is normal. The most important thing is that you continually go back to your plan. Do little things over two years, and results will seem impossible today! Support not pressure is the key from parents and teachers.
Lastly, when you are down, have people advise you. A great mentor can identify areas where you fall short, create a realistic timeline, and motivate you. When it comes to classes, if you choose to participate, make sure the class is well organized and honest with you as you work through the lessons. When NEET Coaching in Pune aligns with a student's requirements and learning style, it can be helpful for many families. Stop waiting around and begin with a focused hour – even small steps will add up.
