Molly can't believe her mother would get married during Molly's senior year in high school even though it is 10 years after her father died. Although she is unhappy with the turn of events, she is even more dismayed when she finds out they will be swapping their Los Angeles home with a family from Boulder, Colorado, while her new stepfather works there for the summer. Molly takes over Charlie's bedroom in Boulder, while Charlie replaces Molly in her room in LA. As they become more comfortable e-mailing each other, she also confides in him about her father's death. Both begin to feel a comfortable connection as they chat each night.

Charlie's passion for mountain biking is infectious, and Molly begins to ride one of his bikes around Boulder. He shares routes with her for exploring the beautiful country that surrounds the town. She finds her new surroundings and adventures amazingly refreshing. She also realizes that her stepfather and mom are probably just as delighted that she doesn't join them on their excursions Tag Heuer Replica around town. In the end, Molly realizes how happy her mother is to be married again, and she is enjoying her friendship with Charlie.
