A fascinating country, Thailand is of course well known today as one of Asia''s most turbulent and troubled spots. However it remains at once a beautiful, spiritual destination and a busy, thriving resort where visitors flock in droves year on year. The Siam Centre, Siam Square, Siam Paragon, MBK and The Emporium are all great places to go for some retail therapy, opening their doors to visitors to go and buy luxury gifts to take home. Alternatively, try the Patpong Nightmarket, Suan Lum Night Bazaar, the Khoa San Road and the Chatuchak Weekend Market for interesting discoveries, and even simply to enjoy the experience of visiting a buzzing Thai market.
