-Eligibility for Army, Navy, and Air Force wings for NDA is required based on Physics and Mathematics at the 12th standard.

➤Understanding the NDA Written Exam Structure
There are two papers for the NDA written test conducted by UPSC.
The first Paper 1 — Mathematics is a paper worth 300 marks that is timed for 2.5 hours. The second is Paper 2 — General Ability Test (GAT) (600 marks), which is also 2.5 hours in duration. The papers are combined for a total of 900 marks.
All papers are objective in nature, and both have negative marking, which means a 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. This is because random guessing can be detrimental to your test performance.

The Maths paper is fully based on the Syllabus of classes 11th and 12th of PCM. Topics include:
-Algebra — complex numbers, quadratic equations, permutations, binomial theorem, matrices, and determinants
-Trigonometry – angles, trigonometric identities, inverse trigonometric functions, heights and distances.
-Differential Calculus — limits, continuity, differentiation, applications of derivatives
-Integral Calculus and Differential Equations — Definite and Indefinite Integrals, Basic Differential Equations
-Vector Algebra — scalar and vector products, 3D geometry;
-Statistics and Probability — frequency distribution, mean/median/mode, Bayes' theorem
-Analytical Geometry — straight lines, circles, parabolas, ellipses, hyperbolas

The paper of GAT is divided into two parts:
