Running an all-switch-hitter squad in a baseball sim feels cheap in the best possible way. You're not guessing which bench bat to save, and you're not sweating the lefty-lefty matchup in the seventh. If you've built up enough MLB 26 stubs to chase the right cards, this kind of lineup can turn every at-bat into a small advantage. It doesn't win games by itself, of course. You still have to time pitches, square up the PCI, and avoid chasing junk. But the pressure shifts. The pitcher has to be perfect, because every hitter is standing on the better side of the plate.

Why the switch-hitting build works
The real value isn't just that the lineup looks clever on paper. It changes how the other player manages the game. A right-handed starter such as Jacob deGrom or Jacob Misiorowski forces most lineups into some uncomfortable spots, but a full switch-hitting team simply turns around and bats left-handed. Bring in Aaron Ashby or another lefty reliever, and the same group flips right-handed. That wipes out the usual bullpen trick. No easy matchup. No quick escape. Your opponent has to pitch through contact hitters, ...
... power bats, speed threats, and defenders who can still hurt mistakes.

Role
Switch-hitting fit
Why it matters

Power outfield anchor
Mickey Mantle
Threatens both gaps and punishes missed fastballs.

Middle infield engine
Francisco Lindor, Elly De La Cruz
Adds defense, speed, and real home run danger.

Flexible lineup piece
Ketel Marte, Jose Ramirez, Ian Happ, Chone Figgins
Covers several spots without giving away at-bats.

Catcher option
Biz Mackey
Keeps the bottom of the order from feeling empty.

Building the order without wasting bats
You don't want nine switch hitters just for the label. That's where a lot of players mess it up. The best version of this team still needs balance, and the batting order should make sense rather than just stacking the biggest names first.

Put a high-contact, fast runner near the top so you're not starting games with empty swings.
Keep Mantle, Ramirez, Lindor, or another serious power bat in the run-producing spots.
Use Marte or Happ where you need steady contact instead of another all-or-nothing bat.
Don't ignore defense at shortstop, center field, or catcher, because one bad animation can undo a great inning.

How it feels against elite pitching
You'll notice the difference most against late-inning arms. Jhoan Duran and Jonathan Broxton can still blow heaters past you, sure, but the platoon edge gives you a cleaner look at velocity and break. That tiny bit of comfort matters. A slider is easier to read. A sinker doesn't feel quite as unfair. When someone like Lindor catches one clean, you get those loud swings that leave at 105 mph and travel 460-plus feet. It's not magic. It's just better odds repeated over and over.

Keeping the pressure on all game
A full switch-hitting roster is annoying because it never really lets the pitcher breathe. There's no soft pocket where a lefty specialist can hide, and there's no obvious pinch-hit moment for your opponent to plan around.
