Experiment With Different Oil Base To Make The Artwork Alive
Since ages, canvas paintings are centre of attraction. In the era, when photography was not discovered, paintings were used to capture the sceneries, portraits etc. Even today canvas paintings enjoy a big share of attraction. Some people adopt canvas painting as hobby while other adopt it as profession. If observed closely, then one can find that there is huge difference in these paintings. Some are crafted with oil paints while some are crafted with acrylic paints. Even one can get the photos imprinted on the canvas. It gives out wonderful effect, very close to the real one.
Most of the artists prefer to use oil paints for hand- made canvas paintings. The basic benefit of oil paints is that they do not mingle into one another very quickly as other paints do; otherwise they change the desired effect on the Pictures To Canvas. Oil paints take longer time to dry, so it makes the mixing of colors possible directly on the canvas. On the other hand water based colors tend to dry very quickly, this makes the further or latter alterations difficult. The oil allows the color to get ...
... mixed even after certain time; one can easily make the changes in oil paints to get the desired effect.
Methodically, Picture To Canvas is sketched out first and then colors are added into them later on. A painter often uses charcoal or pencil to craft the sketch before adding color into it. Professionals part the canvas into sections or tiny blocks for ease or directly sketch their artwork on the canvas. Pigments are often used to make the colors flow easily on the canvas, some pigments take longer time drying up while some take less. For immediate or urgent artwork artists tend to use turpentine oil. It gets dried up fast and also provides sufficient time to mixing of colors.
From the early ages, for capturing Picture Canvas painting were made up from natural oils like Linseed oil, safflower oil etc. Linseed leaves its natural color during the drying process, so while using the lighter colors experts' advise to use safflower oil. These oil types require long drying period. On the other hand, painting crafted from these oils cannot be cleaned up with water. For those who frequently make mistakes or often like to change their ideas recurrently, new oil based colors are available. The colors are made up of miscible oil which can be cleaned up with water easily.
While creating an artwork using oil paints, the type of oil used holds a vital place. Drying time, after effects, all these things highly depend on the oil base used. Many artists prefer to use a special type of paint that has very large drying time. They do not dry until exposed to a large amount of heat. The range of heat required for drying is about 260 to 280 degree Fahrenheit. There are numerous ways in which one can enhance or add the effects in to the artwork which makes the art piece alive. All one need to do is making the right selection of products and techniques.
