Smile lines—also known as nasolabial folds—are a natural part of facial expression, but over time they can deepen and become more noticeable as collagen production slows and skin loses elasticity. While traditional treatments such as fillers and surgical procedures have long been popular solutions, many people today are searching for a more natural, non-invasive alternative. SmoothLase offers a modern approach to rejuvenation that targets wrinkles and laxity from the inside out, without needles, downtime, or surgery.

SmoothLase is an advanced intraoral laser treatment that gently heats the tissues inside the mouth to stimulate collagen production in the perioral (around-the-mouth) area. By delivering controlled laser energy beneath the surface, SmoothLase encourages the body’s natural regenerative processes, helping to tighten skin, soften smile lines, and improve overall skin texture. Because the treatment is performed inside the mouth, there is no visible damage to the outer skin and virtually no recovery time.

One of the key benefits of SmoothLase is its ability to produce subtle, natural-looking results. ...
... Rather than “filling” lines, the treatment works by strengthening and thickening the underlying collagen structure. This results in gradual improvement over time, with skin appearing firmer, smoother, and more youthful. Many patients also notice enhanced lip definition and a gentle plumping effect, making SmoothLase a popular option for those seeking a refreshed appearance without dramatic changes.

Comfort and convenience are additional advantages. A typical SmoothLase session takes about 20 to 30 minutes, and patients can return to their normal activities immediately afterward. Some individuals experience a mild warming sensation during treatment, but anesthesia is usually unnecessary. For optimal results, a series of treatments is often recommended, followed by occasional maintenance sessions.

SmoothLase is ideal for individuals who are beginning to notice early signs of aging or for those who want to maintain their current appearance. It can also be used in combination with other cosmetic or dental treatments to enhance overall facial aesthetics. Because it is non-invasive and low-risk, SmoothLase appeals to patients who prefer conservative approaches before considering injectables or surgery.

Choosing the right provider is essential to achieving safe, effective results. An experienced dental or periodontal team understands the anatomy of the oral and facial tissues and can tailor the treatment to each patient’s needs. With proper evaluation and technique, SmoothLase can be a powerful tool for facial rejuvenation.
