What words are to a book, link building is to a web site. It is of utmost importance to use link building in order to achieve the maximum ROI from the capital invested in designing a site. Once you have begun with a link building campaign, it is important to know what you are doing. An apt way to go about this is to be familiar with the important link building terms.
Some of the Link building terms you should know are:
1. Anchor Text: It refers to the text you use in the link you have given on other sites.
2. Anchor text optimization: Keywords are crucial. Anchor text optimization means placing apt keywords in the anchor text of incoming links to your site. This really helps in achieving a better rank.
3. Back links: These are the inbound links which point to your website. They are also called In Links. They should be relevant and of good quality.
