Red Velvet Cake is a distinctive red in color, layered with moist cake, a bit of combination of chocolate flavour. This cake is traditionally paired with tangy cream cheese frosting which is known for its soft, velvety texture and unique taste because of cocoa powder, butter milk, vinegar and vanilla. These are the common ingredients which are used in making Red Velvet Cakes. It's red in color all because of a chemical reaction between two or three ingredients called non-ducted cocoa powder and the acidic in nature like white vinegar and buttermilk.

Baking of this Red Velvet Cake is not difficult, all you have to do is just follow the line as written. Let’s start with your preheated oven at 150°C, after this grease your pan with butter or you can use any type of non flavoured oil. This is for making your batter, then start off by sifting together with a good quality flour, good quality cornstarch, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and a pinch of salt. These all are our dry ingredients after getting all these ingredients then mix them well. After this set your dry ingredients aside like a bowl cream ...
... together butter, oil and sugar with a hand mixture for 2-3 minutes on a normal speed. This process lets air enter the batter which will make our batter very fluffy.
After this we will add eggs in the mixture which will give moisture and structure to our cake.

Next add vanilla extract, butter milk and at last the vinegar mix until well combined. After doing all these make sure your each and every ingredient is mixed well. Only then your batter and cream will be prepared well and I prefer to mix all your ingredients by using your hand because this will make sure that you don't over mix them. Once the batter is done then evenly distribute your batter in an 8-inch tin and cook them for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes clear after inserting its center. Allow the cake to cool in the cake tin. Before performing any decoration be sure that your cake is cool at room temperature.

Conclusion

In this article you know about how to bake your own Red Velvet Cake using a few ingredients in a proper way. And in baking of red velvet cake there is no use of any adding color because its red color comes after chemical reactions which take action while baking. So just follow the instructions carefully.
