Attending different educational establishments, students got used to academic disciplines they are offered, like mathematics, biology, English, physics, literature and many others. Still, there are much more disciplines students can study. Most academic disciplines are united in groups, like humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, formal sciences, and professions and applied sciences. The main purpose of this article is to present some specific information about ethno- disciplines, like ethnohistory, ethnomusicology, and ethnochoreology. These disciplines are not widespread, as one can see, still, students attend those classes in some part of the United States of America.

Ethnohistory

Ethnohistory is a study aimed at researching and examining historical records within indigenous traditions and ethnographic cultures. Students also learn the history of development of different ethnic groups that both exist and do exist today. It may be called an attempt to understand why people dance in the way they do it and what the meaning of most movements is.
