How Obese Children Can Breathe Away The Fat
Parents did you know that your kids that are overweight can breathe away fat?
Believe it or not but just learning a new way to breathe can do more for your obese kids than diets, exercise and surgery.
Have you ever wondered why the skinny kid down the street can eat everything in sight and never a gain a pound yet your kids just look at food and get bigger?
The reason is the skinny kids have a higher metabolism than your kids do. Their bodies are better at breathing than your kids are. You may say that everyone breaths and it is true except everyone breathing doesn't take in the same amount of oxygen.
Many overweight kids as well as adults suffer from "futile breathing." They only get a quarter of the oxygen that their lungs were made to hold.
What does this mean? It means that lack of oxygen from breathing slows down your metabolism. When your cells are deprived of oxygen they have no choice but to store the food that they cannot process into fat.
But deep inhalations can quickly transpose these fat storing cells into fat burning cells and losing weight will be a by-product of healthy ...
... breathing. `
This fact came to me by accident several years ago when I was browsing a used book store and came across a book titled "Jump Start you Metabolism" by Pam Grout.
I only paid $3.00 for it but it is one of those rare books that you read and then find yourself saying "Ah hah" about something that resonates within you. Pam writes:
"Breathing is the key to warming and waking up your metabolism. When you breathe more oxygen into your body the heat in your body rises. Over time, you can build up
Your body's thermostat so it will always be better at burning up fat--while sleeping, sitting or climbing Mount Everest."
So parents you want to see your little ones lose weight? Then give them this breathing exercise. First to fully breathe they must fill their lungs to capacity. That means when they inhale their stomachs must balloon out as they take in air. Then when they exhale the stomach goes flat. Eighty percent of people on this earth do the complete opposite when they breathe. Their stomachs go flat when they inhale and balloons out when they exhale. This is called stomach breathing and it is backwards breathing..
But don't take my word for it; just watch Fred Flintstone of the Flintstones.
One day while watching cartoons with my nephew, Fred Flintstone was sleeping on his back. Every time he inhaled his stomach went up and every time he exhaled his stomach came back down.
Old Fred knows more about breathing than most people on this earth.
Parents teach your kids the proper way to breathe and it will become a good habit that will oxygenate their cells and they will become like the skinny kid that can eat all they want and never worry about weight again because your kids have learned to breathe away the fat and obesity will become a thing of the past.
