This exam is designed to validate proficieny supporting Windows Vista client. This 70-620 Exam will fulfill the

Windows Vista Technology Specialist requirements of 70-620 Exam.
The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) on Windows Vista credential is intended for information technology (IT) professionals who work in the

complex computing environment of medium to large companies. The MCTS candidate should have at least one year of experience in Tier 1 or Tier 2 phone support

in an upper midsize organization or enterprise environment.

In the User Configuration node only, the Windows Settings folder contains the additional nodes Remote Installation Services, Folder Redirection, and Internet

Explorer Maintenance. Remote Installation Services (RIS) is used to control the behavior of a remote operating system installation. Optionally, RIS can be

used to provide custom¬ized packages for non—Windows Server 2003 clients of Active Directoiy. (Group Policy requires a genuine Windows 2000 or Windows

Server 2003 client, ...
... not merely a pre-Windows 2000 client of Active Directory, however.) Folder Redirection allows you to redirect Windows Server 2003 special

folders (Application Data, Desktop, My Docu¬ments, and Start Menu) from their default user profile location to an alternate location on the network, where

they can be centrally managed. For details on folder redirection, refer to Chapter 11, "Administering Group Policy." Internet Explorer Maintenance allows you

to administer and customize Microsoft Internet Explorer on IT Exams.

Administrative Templates Node
In both the Computer Configuration and the User Configuration nodes, the Administra¬tive Templates node (shown in Figure 10-4) contains registry-based Group

Policy set¬tings. There are more than 550 of these settings available for configuring the user environment. As an administrator, you might spend a

significant amount of time manipulating these settings. To assist you with the settings, a description of each policy setting is available in three

locations:
In the Explain tab in the Properties dialog box for the setting. In addition, the Setting tab in the Properties dialog box for the setting lists the required

operating system for the setting.
In Administrative Templates Help (a new feature of Windows Server 2003). The required operating system for each setting is also listed.
In the Extended tab (a new feature of Windows Server 2003, selected by default) in the Group Policy Object Editor. The Extended tab provides a

The required operating system for each setting is also listed.
