David And Ron's Campaign Profiles - Public Relations
David came to RL Stevens for help in moving to a new career. Although highly successful and well paid, he was blocked from further promotion. ... end, he selected one that promised major opportunities for growth and a 23% pay increase by virtue of the lower cost of living in the new area. David calculated that he would double his pay within a year in addition to having many other advantages open to him.
Ron was caught "between a rock and a hard place". He badly wanted to make a job change, but worked in a company that, within a year, would dissolve. In the meantime, he was working 60+ hours per week and had a jam-packed private life as well, which he did not want to relinquish. He knew that he needed to conduct a search-which he hadn't done in nearly two decades-but had no idea how he was going to do it with his heavy schedule.
His consultant worked closely with Ron in putting together a very comprehensive, but relatively slow-paced marketing action plan. Time was not deemed an issue, but time management was. Ron had to use what free time he had wisely. In addition, because Ron had to conduct a very discreet campaign to protect his present job, his consultant connected Ron with a network organization that provided excellent opportunities.
Ron was able to secure an offer that genuinely appealed to him. Getting into a "right" culture was another key criterion for Ron and, supported by his consultant, he did a thorough background check on the organization to determine if it would be the right "fit." It was! "It's a pure joy to go to work every day and wonderful to know that my future is secure again," says Ron.
