MBBS in Egypt: Curriculum

Pre-Clinical Phase (2 Years)
This phase focuses on building foundational knowledge in basic medical sciences. Students study subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, and Embryology. The emphasis is on understanding the human body and how it functions.

Para-Clinical Phase (1 Year)
During this stage, students delve into Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, and Community Medicine. It also includes early clinical exposure and development of diagnostic thinking skills.

Clinical Phase (3 Years)
This phase involves rigorous clinical training across major disciplines such as Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, Dermatology, and Radiology. Students engage in ward duties, case presentations, and clinical discussions under expert supervision.

Internship/Housemanship (1 Year)
The final year is a compulsory rotating internship where students work in hospitals and gain real-time experience in patient care. They rotate through different departments including Emergency, Surgery, Medicine, Pediatrics, and others.
