Port El Kantaoui is an upscale resort and wealthy residential area in Tunisia, located close by to Sousse. Purpose built in 1979, the resort centres around a beautiful marina, with a golf course to the north, a theme park to the south and a number of luxury villas and hotels.

Getting to Port El Kantaoui from Sousse is easy. Most holidaymakers visit as part of a package holiday and have transfers included. Otherwise you can take a taxi or the tourist train, which is the cheapest option if you are looking to make travel savings.

Most of the accommodation options in Port El Kantaoui are upscale luxury hotels and villas, with some timeshare apartments too. The cheapest accommodation option if you are travelling as a group is to rent a private villa. This way the weekly rental costs can be split between all of you.

Cheap flights to Tunisia are available all year round, especially outwith high season. The best way to find the cheapest flights is to search online, using a comparison website to save you time. Look for comparison sites that have special offer sections and good deals will be even easier to spot.

Try ...
... to be as flexible with your travel plans as you can in order to save on flight and holiday prices. Flight prices can vary dramatically from day to day, so check to see if you could save by flying out just a day or two before or after your preferred travel date.

If you are able to avoid holidaying during the peak summer months then you can make big savings. Demand for holidays to Port El Kantaoui is at its highest over the summer holidays when children are on a break from school, and by avoiding this peak time you will also avoid inflated flight and accommodation prices.

Some travel agents have affiliations with local hotels and villa companies in Port El Kantaoui and are able to offer customers exclusively discounted room rates at these accommodation facilities via great value package deals if you book both your accommodation and flights with them.

One package holiday option that can be particularly good value for families is the all-inclusive package deal. This is where you pay one single cost for your entire trip. Your flights, transfers and accommodation are paid for, as well as all of your meals and in some cases your drinks and organised day trips too. Our guide to cutting the cost of your holiday to Port El Kantaoui was written by Bonny Kominek, an experienced travel guide. They recommend checking the Octopus Travel website for the latest Port El Kantaoui and accommodation deals all year round.
