Won by 20 runs, Nairobi, 2000 Quarter Final-1

The 2nd meeting of the Champions trophy between India and Australia was held in the ICC Knock Out Cup 2000, when the first quarter-final of the tournament was played between these two teams. In this match, Australia won the toss and decided to field first. The Indian team scored 265 runs in 50 overs after batting first. Yuvraj Singh was the top-scorer for the team, who played a sensational 84 runs inning in 80 balls, including 12 fours. For Australia, Brett Lee, Shane Lee & Jason Gillespie took 2-2 wickets each. In response, the Australian Team were bowled out on 245 runs in 46.4 overs. That day, no Australian Batsman could score 50 runs against the Indian bowlers. For India, Zaheer Khan, Venketesh Prasad & Ajit Agarkar took 2-2 wickets each. Thanks to Indian bowlers’ brilliant performance, India saved the 265-run target and won the match by 20 runs. Won by 4 wickets, Dubai, 2025 Semi-Final-1

Finally, after 8 years, the Champions Trophy was organized in Pakistan and Dubai. In the semi-finals of the tournament, both the legendary teams were once again face to face. This was also the first clash of the two teams in the ODI format after the ODI World Cup Final 2023. Australia defeated India by 6 wickets in the World Cup Final. After that defeat in the World Cup Final, Indian cricket fans want to take revenge from the Australian team in the upcoming matches. And there could not have been a better platform than the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy. In this match, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, they scored 264 runs with the help of Steve Smith's 73 and Alex Carey's 61 runs. Travis Head also played a brilliant innings of 39 runs. Mohammed Shami took the maximum 3 wickets for India. Apart from him, Ravindra Jadeja and Varun Chakraborty also got 2-2 wickets respectively. In response, the Indian team easily achieved the target of 265 runs in 48.1 overs. Virat Kohli played a brilliant innings of 84 runs including 5 fours. Apart from him, Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul also contributed 45 and 42 runs respectively. Due to these heroic performances, India won the match by 4 wickets and qualified for the final.
