The rest of the month looks just as attractive as the first one which is why in this article we will continue to inform you about the most important events that will be organized in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

From the 22th of September until the 25th, Rio de Janeiro will be the host of the 11th Brazilian Congress of Psycho - Oncology. The main theme behind this important event will be Psico-Oncologia: Profissão, Ciência e Arte - psycho oncology: profession, science and art. At this event many psycho-oncologists, psychologists, oncology doctors, psychiatrists, and doctors in other specialties, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, nutritionists, social workers and other professionals dealing with the treatment and control of cancer, will gather to debate the most important issues in the domain. The event will be held at Centro de Convenções do Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões - CBC.

... Film Festival - Festival do Rio which in 2010 will reach its 12th edition and promises to be the best one yet. The festival is considered to be the most important event in the film industry in all Latin America. The competitive exhibition includes short as well as regular Brazilian movies, besides fiction and documentary films, and also foreign films, all promising to be very fascinating.

Whoever will win at this event will be awarded the Troféu Redentor thropy. The fixed foreign exhibitions in the festival are: Panorama Mundial (world panorama); Expectativa (expectation); Limites e Fronteiras (limits and borders); Mostra Geração (generation exhibition) ; Tesouros da Cinemateca (movie hall treasures); Dox; Doc Latino; Midnight Movies; Mundo Gay (gay world) and Pocket Films. Première Brasil is the competitive parts of the Festival do Rio and the best annual showcase for contemporary Brazilian movie productions. The film festival will be held at Cine Odeon BR - Praça Floriano, 7 - Cinelândia; Oi Futuro - Rua Dois de Dezembro, 63 - Catete, during September 23th and October the 7th.

From the 24th of the month until the 29th, Rio will host the Orchids in the springtime 2010 event which will exhibit various species of delicate and unique beauty. Hundreds and hundreds of lowers will be shown, all from Brazilian producers, including OrquidaRio. The exhibition will take place at Rua Jardim Botânico, 1008 - Jardim Botânico.

Our last reviewed event, but certainly not the least important is the Rio de Janeiro Festival which will be organized between September 26th and October 8th. This year it will reach the 12th edition and is considered by many the largest cinema event in Brazil. Here, there will be competitions plus film presentations. The lucky winners will receive the Redemption Trophy.

As you can see, September has a lot to offer for local inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro as well as lucky tourists. Basically, you cannot go wrong with Rio because regardless of the time of the year you visit it, you will not get bored as there will be something to do.
