In the mind of many tourists that like to travel everywhere at any time, Rio de Janeiro is and always will remain a top destination regardless of time and tastes. What most of us do not know is that this city has even more to offer. Each and every single month, Rio is the host to some important event, making it an attractive tourist destination. With this article we will briefly present some of the most important events that will occur in Rio de Janeiro this upcoming September.

... day of the month we have the 13th International Symposium on Tobacco Treatment / 9th Symposium on Alcohol and Other Drugs / 1st Latin American Symposium of the International Drug Abuse Research Society event which we end on the 4th of September. It will consist of an integration of research on drug abuse which will focus upon every possible level of biological organizations as well as the clinical use of drugs, prevention plus the most important part - treatment. The location of the symposium will be Centro de Convenções C.B.C (Colégio Brasileiro de Cirurgiões) - Visconde Silva Street, 52 - Botafogo.

On the 16th of the month the Rio Oil & Gas event will take place and will close its doors on the 29th. This special event is organized every two years and focuses on the very important and crucial oil industry, in which the professionals and high corporation executives in the area take part, searching for new revolutionary technologies as well as administrative practices in the oil and gas area.
