Why Moving To North America Was The Best Move For Our Executive Office

I know it may sound like excuses but first off, it has to be said I just wasn't very keen moving away to an office in the US and that I didn't think it would make me happier than I was.

I'll tell you the reason, I was deliriously happy and content in my current living situation.

We were lucky to have a great home, the perfect family car and a lifestyle that was much better than some families enjoy.

I sat down and though about if I would miss having my close friends around and being able to see them any time that suited me. There were little events to miss too like back bacon with all the fat still on it, the British fry up with fried bread, the barber who I always gave a tip to when I visited and even the milkman who delivered my milk every week.

It was obvious that even though I would miss these things dearly, they couldn't be used as excuse to hold me back in my life anymore , especially with the US office market showing some incredible prices, I took it upon myself to move as soon as possible. I let my family know that we had come to a decision to move to the US, otherwise we would be letting emotions ...
... getting in the way we couldn't let nostalgia get in the way of the business growth.

I wanted to make the transition as smooth as possible, so I made sure all the moves were in place so we could be in a suburb like we were used to and got the children into a close-knit school that understood that they were moving from a home where they were very comfortable and would need some time to feel happy other children. We had to make some stark choices and they weren't easy but we had to get the children to understand why we were moving.

The move has been and gone and I have to say that it has been a wonderful transition for us, we now love living here. So here's a few of my favourite things about living in the US.

1) The food is wonderful here. I did say before that I thought I would miss English food, I can now see how wrong I was because the food over here is an experience in itself. I now tend to go to world famous restaurants with amazing service and cannot compare to the service and food I got in England.

2) The offices are cool. After some thought we decided to take Chicago office space and that decision has proved to be a good one. Our important facilities are easily accessible in one place such as rooms fully furnished, great desk space and a meeting room that always impress our clients.

3) The people are just so pleasant. Although we have the advantage of being an English family who are polite but we have found that there is definitely something different about the people here who are always happy to help and treat you well. You will find that when you are shopping you get the special treatment regardless how much you are spending in the store.

There are just some reasons why making the move to the US has been incredible and that aside we are making more money than ever.
