How it works

This free, volunteered funded plan for the Buffalo homeowners there is no fee for the materials or labor that is required to install the sound insulation treatments. This was all made possible through different funds sponsored at the hands of the Federal Aviation Administration, Buffalo Niagara International Airport, and lastly, the New York State Department of Transportation.

C&S companies have stepped up to the plate as well to work as site and project managers on these different construction projects to ensure the safe installation of the noise reduction treatments.

Qualification

There are necessary requirements that have to be met in order to qualify for the program. If you home was constructed before 1998, that is an automatic disqualification, just due to the construction and age of your home, and the Buffalo airport regrets to be unable to help at this time. If you live within the specific noise map area, than you qualify to have someone from the organization or the airport come out, and test your home, and meet with the family to see if you qualify for the insulation treatment.

It is not the intention of the New York State Department of Transportation or the Buffalo airport to exclude anyone from the Quiet Home Program, but there are certain requirements to be met in order to safely, and successfully install the treatments.
