Currently, the human race is exposed to a number of illnesses and diseases that were previously unknown to us. A simple Neck Pain can no longer be trusted to be just a minor issue. It could quickly become an even more severe impairment. If anything, the pandemic was a reminder of how fragile and uncertain human lives are. During the pandemic, the medical community had to face a virus that was completely alien to them and they had no prior notion of how to deal with such a small but globally destructive thing.

In the beginning there might have been all chaos and confusion, but in a matter of a few months, science and medicine persevered. The marvel of the medical and scientific community was the show of resilience, agility, and self-improvement. Modern problems call for modern solutions. In the wake of the pandemic, and the catastrophic scale of Covid’s impact on our species, we have definitely emerged even more cautious, prepared and hypervigilant about the future that’s yet to unfold.

Research depicts that there is a lot more where covid ...
... came from and we should expect to encounter a plethora of presently undiscovered and foreign illnesses. It is the stuff of post-apocalyptic science fiction, a dystopian reality unveiling before us. It is no longer a hoax to say that during Covid-19, our race underwent a mutation. We have evolved in ways that are yet to reveal themselves fully. Scientific and medical research is constantly making headways in publishing new research and improving their skill sets to meet the obscure demands of the upcoming decades.

As an upshot of the pandemic, the pain management community has had to modify its outlook on the way it conceptualizes and treats patients with chronic pain. There have been many considerable advancements in the field, as the pandemic opened novel paths and new areas of research and curative treatments. The need for an inter and multidisciplinary pain management system is now being introduced and implemented, with collaborative features that integrate various related fields and disciplines. These include clinical and counseling psychology, behavior therapy, alternative medicine, social and community work, occupational therapy, et cetera.

The new approach to neck pain management emerges from this revolutionary system. It includes many treatment modalities that were either previously non-existent or had not received the recognition and credibility which they should have. But it is never too late to grow, change, and achieve progress. The following discussion explores few of the many modern treatments being used for chronic neck ache problems.

Radiofrequency ablation
It sounds like a highly complicated, and possibly expensive, procedure. Simply put, this technique utilizes the power of radio-waves to intercept the pain signals being sent from the brain to the damaged tissues. Not only intercept, the high-frequency waves actually aim to destroy the dysfunctional nerve endings that are causing the pain.
It is not designed to be problematic and agonizing. Quite the opposite actually. It eliminates the problem altogether by cutting the pain from its origins, rather than trying to heal it slowly. Patients might feel slight changes in their voice and an irritating sensation of burning on the skin around their neck, but these side effects eventually fade. What stays are the benefits. For about 2-3 years, the patient is free from their chronic symptoms and can love functionally again.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation
Essentially, this is a process that relieves patients from chronic pain by deliberately inducing mild electric currents to resigned and readjust the peripheral nervous system. It’s kind of like rebooting a machine. By stimulating pain signals to the brain, TENS strategy alleviates chronic and acute pain by first triggering the muscles and then allowing them to relax. This neck pain treatment procedure is noninvasive, effective, and results in long-term relief.
