The Perfect Wedding Dress
On your wedding day you are the main focus throughout the whole day so you want to make sure you look your absolute best and have the perfect dress. Finding the perfect dress for you may take you some time. Many do not understand the importance of getting your dream dress. Here are 7 tips which may help you along the way.
1) Do not enlist the help of a man when choosing your dress. They do not understand how we think or how we want to look. Choose a close female friend or enlist the help of a female family member .Someone you know and trust to give you an honest opinion.
2) Before you go out to look for a wedding dress you must decide how much you have to spend on your dress and stick to it. It is very easy to go over budget. It is a good idea to sit down with your fiancé and discuss this beforehand.
3) Next important factor is to decide if you want a traditional white wedding gown or if you want to add some colour. There are many different colours even black wedding dresses to choose from now. It is down to personal preference. (Did you now that Black was once the traditional wedding ...
... dress colour until Queen Victoria decided on white to help the lace making industry in Devon survive!)
4) The length of your dress is very important. You need to feel comfortable as you will be in your dress for most of the day and evening. Do you wish to have knee length or one that sweeps across the floor as you glide down the aisle? You need to consider whether you want a train also.
5) Sleeve length is also important especially if you are self conscious about parts of your body such as tops of arms or your shoulders. Pick one that you think suits you best or flatter's your good bits and hides your not so good bits.
6) Choosing the neckline of your perfect dress goes along the same lines as sleeve length. Choose one that suits your body shape best as the neckline will affect the overall appearance of your dress.
7) The fabric you choose for your dress has to make you feel special. There are lots to choose from so try on different dresses made of different fabrics to see which makes you feel good. Some fabrics will flatter certain figures where as some will enhance any lumpy bits that you do not wish you show. Make sure you view yourself in a full length mirror to get the full affect.
I hope these 7 tips will help you find the dress of your dreams. Don't rush into buying a wedding dress, the first one that you see, might not in hindsight be the right one! Plan ahead and choose wisely as it will make your day that much more special if you are feeling good.
