How To Remove Pilling On Clothes With Biorestore Laundry Powder
BIORESTORE Re-Tergent is a 4-in-1 laundry powder that removes lint and pilling while restoring the original colour and texture of cotton and cotton blends. Cotton is a natural fibre known for its amazing comfort and breathability. Unfortunately, the cotton fabric is highly prone to lint and pilling, which is why it can start looking dull and worn-out only after a few spins in the laundry machine.
BIORESTORE cotton is a laundry powder especially designed to remove pilling on clothes with at least 70% cotton composition in only one home laundry wash. Here’s how you can use BIORESTORE fabric pill remover to breathe new life into your wardrobe staples.
1 The first step to remove fabric pilling is sorting your laundry. Gather all the cotton fabrics with lint and pilling, including tees, hoodies, sweatshirts, socks, bedding etc. Make separate piles on the basis of colour and pilling characteristics. For instance, whites and darks go in different piles. Similarly, towels, quilts, etc., which are notorious for pilling, must be washed in a separate cycle.
2 Select the right amount of BIORESTORE cotton. One box ...
... of BIORESTORE comes with three sachets. Each of these sachets can be used to remove pilling from 0.35 kg of garments. Collectively, one box (with all 3 sachets) is enough for reviving 1 kg of garments (based on the dry weight of the textiles).
You can use your kitchen scale to measure the weight of clothing. If not, you can also use the restoring calculator available on the BIORESTORE website for precise calculations.
3 Add BIORESTORE Re-Tergent directly into the drum of the laundry machine. This way, the ingredients in the laundry powder can start working instantly. Moreover, BIORESTORE fabric pill remover can stop working if it gets mixed with your regular detergent. That’s why adding it directly to the drum makes perfect sense.
4 Once you have added the clothing and the right amount of BIORESTORE to the laundry machine, it’s time to run the cycle. To remove 100% pilling from clothes, make sure to stick to the exact guidelines. Select the “cotton” or “eco” cycle and set the temperature to 40ºC / 104ºF. After that, run the cycle for 2 hours.
Keep in mind that BIORESTORE cotton is not suitable for handwashing clothes. If you don’t stick to the guidelines mentioned above, the results will not be effective.
5 When the cycle is finished, toss the clothing into a tumble dryer. In this step, any remaining lint or pilling will be removed. If an item of clothing cannot be tumble dried, rinse it off with a little detergent and lay it out to line dry.
6 The process is complete! From sustainability’s point of view, BIORESTORE cotton is one of the best pill removers for cotton and cotton blends. With this fabric pill remover, you can target both lint and pilling at the same time without adding other products to your fabric care routine.
