Speed driving is one of the most common causes of accidents in the world. Almost three out of five accidents happen because the driver war over-speeding. He failed to stick to the speed limit and ended up hurting himself, pedestrians and even public property. And since his action is in violation of the established traffic laws of the state, legal action will be taken against him. Today, we are going to discuss various aspects of speed driving so that we don’t end up making the same mistake.

Why Do People Break the Speed Limit?
There can be numerous reasons for this. It may be that the person driving the vehicle is late for a very important meeting. Since he is unable to make it on time, he is driving in a high speed so that he can race against time and can somehow reach the venue on time. But, in most cases it is seen that once you are late in steeping out of the house, you cannot reach the venue on time. You cannot jump traffic signals or no matter how much you honk, you cannot make the driver in front of you drive fast as well. He might change the lane so that ...
... you can move ahead of him but not all drivers will give you the same opportunity. What will you do then?

Another reason why someone breaks the speed limit is because he is drunk and has no control over what he is doing. Alcohol can make people do the weirdest of stuffs. Drunken driving is also illegal and on top of that you are speeding and paying no need to the other vehicles on the road or to the pedestrians as well.

Sometimes, once also breaks the speed limit because he is a bad mood. This might seem like a difficult proposition but it often happens. That is the reason why most of the driving instructors will tell you that when you are driving you should be calm and composed. You should never drive when you are not in the proper mood because then you stop paying attention and your concentration is somewhere else. Pay attention to what you were being taught at the driving school Sherwood.

But in reality, no one waits for a good mood to drive. We often go on a long drive because we are not feeling good and want to take a break. There are some people who follow the traffic rules in a bad mood and there are some who stops caring about what is happening.

What Happens When You Break the Speed Limit?
One of the biggest consequences of breaking the speed limit is ending up in a serious accident. You cause damage to the car, to yourself, to other vehicles, the pedestrians and even public property. And in the worst-case scenario, you might lose your life or some pedestrian might lose his life because he broke the speed limit and rammed your car against him.

Damage to the Car: You end up damaging your car. The headlights might be broken, the bonnet may be crushed, the front window all broken. In short, you have to send your car for immediate repair. There is no other alternative.

Damage to Yourself: Since your car is severely damaged, it is natural that you are going to get hurt as well. There will be bruises, scratches and broken bones. You need to be rushed to the nearest hospital so that you can be provided with immediate medical attention.

Damage to Other Vehicles: In most cases because of over speeding, you have missed a signal or simply broke the signal and rammed into another vehicle. The other vehicle is also damaged and you need to make sure that it is also sent for repair.

Damage to Pedestrians and Others: If you hit pedestrians or any other driver, you are bound to hurt them physically. They too will have bruises, scratches and if the accident is severe, they might suffer from broken bones or lose their lives as well. If someone dies then there will be a case against you and you will be put to trial and if proven guilty, you can be sentenced to several years of jail term, even death penalty.

Damage to Public Property: If your car bags against a building, a lamp post or any other store, you are causing damage to public property. You will be held liable for the damage and you need to pay the compensation. In some cases, you may be asked to serve jail time.

Emotional Turmoil that Nobody Talks about:
Don’t forget that you have to go emotional turmoil as well because of the accident caused by your over-speeding. Most of us speak about the physical harm, but what about what you go through because of the consequences of your over speeding.

Conclusion:
Whenever you are driving the car, you need to stick to the traffic laws. You should not break the signals or break the speed limit. If you find someone else doing it then make sure that your car is at a safe distance from him. If the other person loses control, you should be able to press the brake at the right time. Most of the driving schools Sherwood will teach you the importance of following traffic rules and why you should never break the speed limit. Make sure that you follow it forever because the consequences of speed driving are severe.
