Ivy League Colleges are very prestigious and regarded to be a good start of any career. Of course, such elite colleges set very high demands for applicants and their students as well. But is it the reason not to apply to these colleges if they really fit your expectations? Of course, not! Here are some pieces of advice how to become a student of such colleges.

The Early Bird Catches the Worm.

The first and the main thing to do is to study really hard during the last years of school. You should remember that you are not only to show good results in your academic performance. You should also pay a lot of attention to extra-curriculum study and activities. To know more you should read a lot.

You should start preparing at least in summer, so you had the whole year for thorough preparation. You should study as much information about the college as possible: search on the Internet, visit the college, and talk to graduates or people who can know something about the college. Be very attentive and precise. You should know about the whole life (academic, non-academic) of the college, the main standards and demands ...
... for applicants, the main rules for applying to this college (deadlines, documents, etc.). Ask your teacher to write your recommendation in the spring, not in the fall. This will enable the teacher to prepare very good and thoughtful recommendations.

After you prepared all the necessary documents and sent it to the college, you should concentrate on your study. Apart from that you should be prepared for the interview in the college. You should think over your speech, all the possible questions and answers. You can ask somebody to rehearse the interview with you. This will help you to be more confident during the interview in the college.
