HOW PROPEL REACHES OUT TO THE COMMUNITY DURING THE CRISIS
People | June 11, 2021
The pandemic is throwing up newer challenges with every passing day and it is the collective effort that can help us wade through these tough times.
Propel Industries has always been strictly adhering to the norms set by the governments during the pandemic. We realise that it is our responsibility to stretch our helping hands a little further, a little more. In 2020, when Covid-19 attacked the world unawares, we were quick to design and manufacture PVS 201, an automatic emergency ventilator.
Based on inputs from the medical fraternity, we developed a second model which is being tested at Kalam Institute of Health technology, Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. We are waiting for the final approval for the same.
This year, as India is facing the second wave of the deadly virus, we decided to manufacture critical parts needed for oxygen generation plants for Tata Advanced Systems. Each oxygen plant will have a flow rate of 1000 litres per minute and can support up to 190 patients round-the-clock.
E-Learning
Though ...
... the pandemic has applied brakes on physical schooling, Propel Industries is doing all in its capacity to help government school and government-aided school students to continue learning through digital means.
In continuation to the support that we have been extending to Selvapuram government school, near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, we allotted funds to support the e-learning process of the students. The pictures of teachers using digital means to connect with students really warmed our hearts!
Like everyone else, we are also hoping for this pandemic to end soon and so, we have helped Government higher secondary school at Kaliyannanpudur, Kinathukkadavu Taluk, Coimbatore to paint six of their classrooms. We are sure the students will love the new-look classrooms once they get back to school!
NEET Preparation
We have been supporting Anila Study Circle, Coimbatore in their efforts to coach students from government and government-aided schools for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the last two academic years. This year too, we have sponsored the expenses for procuring study materials and giving teachers’ salaries.
We realise that it is only little drops of water that make a mighty ocean and so, we are doing our best to give back to the society.
