Optiv, a leading cyber advisory and solutions provider, has recently released its 2024 Threat and Risk Management Report. This report delves into how organizations are adapting their cybersecurity investments and governance strategies to combat the ever-changing threat landscape.

According to a survey conducted by the Ponemon Institute, 59% of participants have increased their cybersecurity budgets year after year. Moreover, organizations with over 5,000 employees have, on average, allocated $26 million towards cybersecurity investments in 2024.

The findings of the report indicate a notable increase in data breaches and security incidents. 61% of respondents reported experiencing a data breach or cybersecurity incident in the last two years, while 55% faced four or more incidents during that period. These statistics underscore the critical importance for organizations to prioritize cybersecurity investments and enhance their strategies.
