Viavi Valor And Telecom Infra Project (tip) Announce Strategic Collaboration To Advance Open Ran Testing Capabilities
Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) and the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing the testing capabilities of the VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR™). This collaboration, supported by a $21.7 million grant from the U.S. National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), focuses on advancing Open RAN technologies through robust, automated testing and integration.
VALOR, powered by cloud-based and virtual testing capabilities, is designed to facilitate the certification of Open RAN components, ensuring interoperability, performance, and security. By becoming the first authorized test lab within TIP's network, VALOR streamlines the certification process, reduces duplication of efforts, and accelerates time-to-market for Open RAN solutions. This initiative aims to support new entrants, startups, and academia in achieving certification in the U.S. market.
