INDIANAPOLIS, FEBRUARY 6, 2024 – LiftBridge CXO LLC welcomes Barbara Uggen-Davis as a Director to its team of experienced financial professionals. Barbara is the former Chief Financial Officer of Elevate Ventures.

“Barb’s extensive understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the state is incredibly valuable to LiftBridge CXO’s current and future clients. We believe her leadership experience with nonprofits such as Elevate will position us to build this segment of our practice," says Kay Whitaker, Managing Director of LiftBridge CXO.

Barbara has successfully led small and medium-sized startups and nonprofits through organizational change, crisis situations, and periods of growth. As CFO at Elevate Ventures, Barbara oversaw accounting, human resources, and back-office administration for the nonprofit and managed accounting for the firm’s subsidiary investment fund partnerships such as Indiana 21st Century Fund, Indiana Angel Network Fund, and Indiana High Growth Fund. To assure integrity of the financials, she led the formation of the Audit and Finance Committees and created the ...
... Investment Policy Statements for the operating reserve dollars. She managed financial reporting for federal grants from the US Economic Development Administration and several community foundation grants.

Previously, Barbara oversaw the consolidation of accounting and human resources of OBS Medical and t+ Medical in Indiana and North Carolina. She led multiple companies through office expansion, contraction, and relocation efforts in three states including moving operations from on-premises systems to the cloud with remote and hybrid workforces. With a BA in Accounting and an MBA in Business Information Systems, Barbara often served as the liaison between senior leadership, accounting and technology teams, cutting through the jargon to translate business needs into process workflows and policies to improve security and function. She was a key subject-matter expert and systems administrator in the selection and implementation of CRM, HRIS, and accounting technology at multiple organizations.

Barbara is passionate about the important work done by the nonprofit sector. She volunteers considerable time serving on nonprofit boards in her areas of passion which include animal welfare, refugee and immigrant services, disaster response, disability advocacy, and performing arts.

“I’m delighted to be a part of this talented LiftBridge CXO team which offers a strong collection of different experiences to maximize value for our clients. I am excited to bring my expertise in accounting and operational management to expand our service offerings into the nonprofit sector,” said Barbara Uggen-Davis.
