Aon Unveils $350m Program For Ukraine Recovery

Aon plc, a top global professional services firm, revealed a unique $350M insurance program with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation to boost insurance capacity and spur new capital investment and economic recovery in Ukraine.

Being one of the biggest global brokers in Ukraine, Aon managed a $50M reinsurance facility, collaborating closely with DFC and the Ukraine Ministry for Development of Economy and Trade to aid in issuing on-the-ground war risk policies to businesses in Ukraine. Aon and DFC also worked together on a $300M war risk insurance program tailored for Ukraine's health care and agriculture sectors.

"This program with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation is crucial to attracting investment in Ukraine during this critical time," stated Eric Andersen, president of Aon, at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin. "This initiative will help the local insurance industry properly assess risk and bring in much-needed capital to support reconstruction efforts."
