Lg Display Reveals Latest Oled Tech At Sid 2024

LG Display, a prominent leader in display technologies, has recently announced the introduction of numerous next-generation OLED and advanced display technologies at SID Display Week 2024 in San Jose, California from May 14-16.

Visitors at the event have the opportunity to explore the latest OLED technologies under the theme "A Better Future," which includes OLEDoS for VR and large-sized OLED panels that push the boundaries of picture quality, as well as automotive display solutions optimized for Software Defined Vehicles (SDV).

One of the key highlights of LG Display's showcase is the unveiling of OLEDoS for VR, a groundbreaking technology that offers significantly enhanced screen brightness and resolution compared to current standards. Despite its compact size of 1.3 inches, this technology achieves an impressive brightness of 10,000 nits and a resolution of around 4,000 pixels per inch (ppi), placing it in the 4K class. Moreover, it boasts color accuracy that meets over 97% of the DCI-P3 standard color area set by the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI), resulting in a more realistic virtual reality experience with exceptional picture quality.
