Exam Information-ccie
The Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert ccie online is the highest-level professional certification awarded by
Cisco to individuals who have shown the capability to handle the subtleties, intricacies and challenges of Networking. It is a highly recognized professional
certification within the Networking Industry. Even though the CCIE Programme has been around for over twelve years, less than 3% of Cisco Certified
individuals have made it to the CCIE level. Worldwide, there are about 15,658 active CCIEs. In Malaysia, there are around 71 CCIEs. Malaysia is currently
ranked 26th. In the next 3 to 5 years, we are targeting to be in the top 10 in the world for CCIE population. To achieve the above goal, we are targeting to
develop 60 CCIEs every year in Malaysia.
My studying for the CCIE v4 Written Exam has been going well. Each day I've been focusing on one of the major ccie sp online training topics after first doing a quick review of previous ...
... study items. The last few days
before the exam will be a constant cram of all of the material, with a bit of emphasis on my weak points (my nemesis QoS especially).
I've also been making sure I have a thorough understanding of the new technology topics as I'm sure they'll be featured on the exam. Today I've been
really looking at the IPv6 routing protocols OSPFv3 and EIGRPv6. On the surface, these two topics have much in common with their IPv4 counterparts. But as
they say, the devil is in the details. And do I hate that devil.
One of the first things you'll notice when you start to dive into these two protocols are the similarities in the way Cisco has implemented them. Both
protocols now are primarily configured with interface commands, rather then the IPv4 router-mode commands. Router ID's are now required for not only OSPF
but EIGRPv6 as well (the EIGRPv6 process won't even start before you configure one). Both protocols also have a reliance on IPv6 link-local addresses as
their source/next hop address for IGP communications.
More than any other technology, wireless is transforming the way the world is connecting, growing, and driving business every day. A recent study
commissioned by Cisco and conducted by Forrester Consulting found that there is a pervasive need for wireless networking skills. In fact, the study found
that 36 percent of the global companies surveyed reported that they have dedicated wireless specialists in their IT organizations today, a number that is
expected to almost double in the next five years.
Survey respondents also cited the importance of ccie rs online
training in their professional development. The IT decision makers surveyed indicated that professional and technical certifications were second only to
a four-year college degree in helping them determine the qualifications of job applicants to perform the duties of the job.
